Recruiter - High Volume

The Recruiter (High Volume) is responsible for providing the highest level of Talent Acquisition services to San Manuel Band of Mission Indians' (SMBMI) executives and hiring managers. Reporting to the Director of Talent Acquisition, this position delivers high quality candidates while promoting the San Manuel brand across numerous markets. This role is focused on recruitment of high volume positions in Food & Beverage and other hospitality functions.. This individual will perform full lifecycle recruiting and maintain excellent relations with hiring managers, candidates, and other stakeholders. A wide degree of creativity, near and long-term recruiting vision, business understanding, and personal organization is required to meet the high demands of this high-volume, fast paced position.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Develop and administer effective recruitment programs. Coordinate the recruitment process with hiring manages and oversee job posting, advertising, use of recruiting sources, interviewing, candidate selection, screening, onboarding, and recruitment process recordkeeping.
Develop effective and efficient recruitment strategies to launch and manage all staffing initiatives. This may include job posting optimization, recruiting marketing channel development, market segmentation, job board procurement, use of social media, internet sourcing, other digital and non-digital employment marketing methods, comprehensive recruitment campaign planning, talent planning, etc.
Provide counsel and guidance to hiring managers and HR Business Partners to assess workforce planning needs, define job requirements, determine applicant requirements and job qualifications; work with hiring team to ensure job requirements and expectations are clearly understood and candidates are assessed and screened against appropriate criteria.
Build applicant pool by networking through employees, industry contacts, professional associations/memberships, educational institutes, and community events to nurture relationships with prospective talent. Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
Foster good relations with target universities and participate in job fairs to identify external potential talent.
Acts as a brand ambassador educating external talent on corporate benefits, environment, business mission/vision and employee value proposition.
Develop relationships with third party recruitment agencies and staffing firms and manage the procurement and measurement process. Develop diversity initiatives and foster partnerships with community based organizations to expand the organization's diversity outreach and objectives.
Assist in workforce planning and forecasting talent in alignment with succession and performance plans
Develop strong working relationships with management and staff; providing advice, guidance, and coaching as needed.
Prepare at minimum monthly reports and metrics on recruiting activity.
Continuously source and nurture top talent.
Perform other duties as required to support the efficient operation of the HR department and Talent Acquisition function.
Education/Experience/Qualifications
Minimum of (5) years direct and progressive work experience in full life-cycle recruiting required, with minimum of (3) years in-house corporate talent acquisition or senior level agency recruiting experience recruiting for a broad range of positions is required.
Must be well versed on various compensation and developmental programs.
Proficiency working with ATS; familiarity with Ultimate Software (Ultipro) a plus.
Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter, CareerBuilder, Monster, Dice, and other sourcing databases is required.
Expertise and knowledge of interviewing techniques, human resources/procedures, and federal/state laws regarding employment practices is required.
Must have a sense of urgency, strong client focus, influencing skills and be a team player.
Excellent project management, writing, and oral communication skills are required.
Demonstrated ability to command the attention and respect of senior level leaders.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
Strong initiative and solid judgment abilities/skills.
Must be able to quickly assimilate technical information and build solutions to the optimal balance of meeting business needs, beating competitors, and operating within financial resource constraints.
Proven ability to achieve results in a fast-paced demanding environment.
Certificates/Licenses/Registrations
Must possess current CIR, ACIR, or PRC certification, or ability to obtain certification within six months of employment start date.
Certification as a Professional Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) or Global Professional Human Resources (GPHR) desired.
Must obtain and maintain a Class "A" gaming license issued by the San Manuel Gaming Commission.
A qualified candidate/employee must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record as determined by the company's insurance carrier.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
