Leadership Development Specialist

The Leadership Development Specialist is a business partner supporting leadership development, manager skills-based development, and organizational development initiatives to promote the training and enhancement of our leadership and emerging leadership workforce. The Leadership Development Specialist reports directly to the Learning and Development Manager and will be responsible for the implementation, facilitation, administration, and operations of a comprehensive, leadership and management learning experience to improve leader performance and ensure organizational productivity.
The role of the Leadership Development Specialist requires a highly creative, motivated, and resourceful individual to manage the duties encompassing the Talent Development function. By taking a hands-on approach in all aspects of leadership and management learning and development deployment from beginning to end, the Leadership Development Specialist engages to provide input to the training strategy and development of specific training needs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assesses leadership and management training needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and internal procedure requirements.
Researches, develops, coordinates, and conducts effective leadership and management training programs to maintain or improve manager and senior leadership job skills using appropriate industry best practices for content delivery.
Optimizes the training portfolio as specialized targeted courses are offered to managers and senior leaders.
Monitors, evaluates, and records training activities.
Measures and records training effectiveness.
Develops alternative training methods if expected improvements are not seen.
Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Development, Organizational Leadership, Business, or related field is required.
Master's Degree in similar field is preferred.
Minimum of five to seven (5-7) years of solid leadership and management experience in a professional environment as an internal practitioner/business partner providing Human Resources, Organizational Development, or Training Services including; training design and delivery, and organizational development initiatives required.
Equivalent combination of education and progressive, relevant and direct experience may be considered in lieu of Master's degree.
Mastery of MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook) required.
CPLP Certification and/or SHRM Certification preferred.
At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
A qualified candidate/employee must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record as determined by the company's insurance carrier.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
