Gaming Application System Analyst

The Gaming Application System Analyst provides expert knowledge and support for all Gaming Applications. Under the direction of the Information Technology Application Support Manager, the Gaming Application System Analyst will establish adequate and effective gaming application system information to improve gaming operating activities and increase competitiveness. Will incorporate gaming strategies to plan, design, install, configure, launch, maintain, and upgrade all gaming applications.
The Gaming Application System Analyst will lead cross-functional multi-disciplined resources and teams to deliver gaming application project changes/upgrades that meet or exceed expectation, on time and quality of scope.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Provides expert knowledge in all Gaming Application Systems design, implementation, and support management.
Establishes adequate and effective gaming application system information to improve gaming operating activities to increase competitiveness.
Incorporates gaming strategies to plan, design, install, configure, launch, maintain, and upgrade all gaming applications.
Plans and performs analysis of gaming application systems and recommends changes to increase effectiveness.
Creates a thorough documented gaming application system project proposal to include program functional specifications, test plans, user acceptance testing plan, and operational procedures.
Plans and performs expert analysis of gaming applications and guides the subsequent design and implementation or improvement of existing technology-based gaming applications.
Analyzes gaming system applications to identify areas that can benefit from new technology and/or gaming system improvements.
Audits use of gaming applications by users to determine if full system capabilities are being utilized. Makes recommendations and/or provides training to expand utilization to enhance accuracy, improve productivity or streamline processes.
Determines and reports on the feasibility of gaming system upgrades or development by analyzing existing gaming system capabilities, customer requirements, deadlines, and department or vendor resource availability. Manages and coordinates systems upgrades with departments and within the Information Technology Department.
Conducts research and reports to Sr. Management on new Gaming technologies and applications that can either provide a competitive advantage or increase service/ operational effectiveness.
Plans and conducts scheduled gaming application project status meetings that report on performance, milestones, action items, metrics and issues.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience/Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related area.
Three or more years of relevant technical IT experience, including experience as a Gaming Application Systems Analyst or Application Systems Analyst with hands on experience installing, configuring, and supporting business applications and/or Gaming Application systems; experience with SQL Server (or similar RDBMS), and TSQL, Stored procedures, query development, and/or developing reports directly from SQL Server databases; experience in developing applications and customizations. Additional years of relevant work experience may be substituted for Education.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Gaming Applications systems, IGT Acres Advantage Suite preferred.
Two years of experience with XML, XML over HTTP, Web Services, interface protocols, and IIS preferred.
Previous experience with VMware software suite as well as Cisco networking preferred.
Certificates/Licenses/Registrations
At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
