Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Checks out/in a chip bank daily.
Balances out evenly when checking in their bank.
Reports to management any overages or shortages of their bank.
Checks out/in a chip cart.
Ensures the security and protection of the contents of the chip cart.
Exchanges currency for gaming chips.
Keeps their work area clean by emptying and cleaning ashtrays, straightening up gaming tables and chairs, brushing tables, picking up cushions and moving food trays out of the way.
Notifies the Table Games Floor Supervisor of any open seats and assists customers in finding their seats.
Makes small denomination fills for blackjack tables.
Calls for table service when needed.
Answers customer inquiries about current promotions.
May be dual-rated to work as a board person.
Education/Experience/Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
Must possess excellent concentration skills with the ability to shut out distractions.
Certificates/Licenses/Registrations
At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.

The physical demands and working environment described here are representative of those that an employee encounters and must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Primary work environment is in a climate- controlled gaming facility. Incumbents may be required to work evening, weekend and holiday shifts.
Must be able to work in a fast paced, high demand environment.
Work requires intermittent sitting, standing and/or stooping as well as bending, crouching or stooping.
Physical activities that apply to the essential functions of the position are: balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motions.
Hearing sufficient to hear conversational levels in person and over the telephone.
Speech sufficient to make oneself heard and understood in person, in front of groups, in meetings, and over the telephone.
Visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned, or to make general observations of facilities, guests and employees. Use close, distance, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Endurance sufficient to sit, walk and stand for extended periods, and maintain efficiency throughout the entire work shift and during extended work hours.
Strength sufficient to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds below or at waist level and occasionally lift, move or carry objects over 25 pounds below and at waist level.
The employee will experience moderate noise levels.
The employee will be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including secondhand smoke.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
