Senior Revenue Audit Bookkeeper

Under the direction of the Revenue Audit Supervisor, the Senior Revenue Audit Bookkeeper will assist Revenue Audit Bookkeepers to ensure accurate recording of gaming revenue by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions. In addition, they will reconcile entries, file documents, and prepare revenue reports while ensuring compliance with the policies, procedures and regulations of the revenue centers. The Senior Revenue Auditor will ensure compliance with the Gaming Commission's Tribal Gaming Minimum Internal Controls (TICS) and the Gaming Commission Regulations (GCR), by studying the standards, enforcing adherence to requirements and advising management on needed actions.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assists Revenue Audit Supervisor in monitoring the work load for the Revenue Audit Bookkeeper to ensure that all revenue is recorded and reported in a timely manner.
Assists with the daily audits by offering technical and systems training to team members.
Assists with the development of policies and procedures that directly affect the Revenue Audit section of Accounting.
Responsible for the accurate, timely and efficient audit of transactions for slots, table games, card room, food and beverage, entertainment, gift shop and other revenue centers.
Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and conforms to industry standards, TICS and GCR, by reviewing transaction documents sent by the department on all revenue centers.
Reviews, corrects, compiles, and verifies transactions submitted from revenue departments for accuracy and compliance to approved policies and procedures of the revenue department as it pertains to the recording of these transactions.
Investigates and reports any discrepancies found in the audit on exception reports to the affiliated departments.
Prepares external and internal audit spreadsheets as needed.
Compiles and accurately files audited paperwork in a timely manner.
Prepares financial reports specific to the venue in accordance with policy and procedures approved by management and distributes as needed.
Maintains highly confidential records.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
In the absence of a supervisor, the Senior Revenue Audit Bookkeeper responsibilities will include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing workloads.
Associate's degree in Business with a concentration in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university plus four years of professional and relevant career level experience: or Bachelor's degree in Business with a concentration in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university plus two years of relevant experience.
Must possess intermediate computer skills and intermediate user level proficiency in all Microsoft Office Applications, with emphasis on Excel.
At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
Must possess a current and valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record as determined by the Company's insurance carrier.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
