Lead Cashier, BBQ

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Oversees all cash register transactions, processing of customer purchases, and overrides pursuant to San Manuel Food & Beverage standards.
Reviews and audits cash register transactions to verify the proper documentation of comps, voids and discounts.
Oversees the assignment of team member sections; ensures that all sections are being covered and team members abide by break schedule.
Monitors and maintains the cleanliness of facility and confirms that all appropriate side work duties are being performed.
Conducts daily shift meetings in the absence of the Supervisor.
Provides training for new and existing employees on San Manuel departmental policies and procedures.
Communicates any problems or concerns regarding employees or guests to the immediate Supervisor.
Cleans, organizes and prepares immediate workspace and adjacent areas before, during and after the shift.
Enforces all safety, health, security rules and ensures exceptional customer service standards are being consistently being met.
Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
Supervisory Responsibilities
The Lead Cashier is responsible for functional supervision of the Cashier in the day-to-day operations. The Lead Cashier may also be responsible for the functional supervision of the Host/Hostess, Servers, or Bussers in their day-to- day operations.
High School Diploma or GED required
Two (2) or more years recent cashiering experience; some leadership training helpful
Demonstrative leadership skills and the ability to lead by example required
At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
Must obtain and maintain a current Food Handlers Card and negative TB test.
Will be required to obtain and maintain T.I.P.S Certification.

Primary work environment is in a climate-controlled gaming facility.
Work hours and days may vary to meet business needs.
Employee may be exposed to highly stressful situations where a great deal of tact and diplomacy is necessary.
Hearing sufficient to hear conversational levels in person and over the telephone.
Speech sufficient to make oneself heard and understood in person, in front of groups, in meetings, and over the telephone.
Visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned, or to make general observations of facilities, guests and employees.
Strength sufficient to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
This position requires walking, standing, sitting and stooping.
Endurance sufficient to sit, walk and stand for extended periods, and maintain efficiency throughout the entire work shift and during extended work hours.
The employee will be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including secondhand smoke.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
