The Recruiter is responsible for recruiting for various positions from entry to senior level for San Manuel Casino (SMC) and San Manuel Band of Mission Indians Tribal Government (SMBMI). The Recruiter will focus on SMC and SMBMI service oriented roles. The Recruiter needs to be proficient in candidate generation and sourcing to be able to deliver quality talent with minimal lead time. This role is ideal for a process-oriented individual that is able to manage high volume recruiting across multiple generations without sacrificing candidate experience.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Source and screen qualified candidates, leverage internet job boards, employee referrals, search engines, web resume mining techniques.
Communicate with candidates through a variety of methods to include social media outlets, direct cold calling, networking and industry events.
Manage candidates seamlessly through the interview process, set expectations, provide feedback, negotiate and close offers.
Provide regular updates to Recruiting Manager and Hiring Managers on recruiting status of open requisitions.
Partner with hiring managers to identify key requirements and set recruitment strategy for all open positions.
Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need through various sourcing techniques.
Schedule in-person and phone interviews across multiple time zones as needed
Maintain various recruitment tracking reports. Enhance existing reports where applicable.
Fully and accurately utilize our Applicant Tracking System (Jobvite).
Desired skills & experience
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, Organizational Development or similar with minimum of 5+ years of experience recruiting in a fast-paced environment. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
Prior corporate recruiting experience a plus. AIRS certification highly desired.
Proactive, self starter with high energy level, with professional appearance and service oriented attitude
Successful track record recruiting and filling multiple entry and senior level roles concurrently.
Organized and process oriented approach to staffing and on boarding.
Solid experience with Applicant Tracking System (Jobvite preferred).
Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet sourcing strategies including Boolean search strings.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Strong "consultative skills" and the ability to build relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
Superior analytical skills, solid strategic thinking and teamwork.
At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.

Visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned, or to make general observations of facilities, guests and employees.
Mobility sufficient to safely move in an office environment, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, and enter, exit and operate a motor vehicle in the course of travel to meetings, conferences, trade shows and San Manuel properties.
Endurance sufficient to sit, walk and stand for extended periods, and maintain efficiency throughout the entire work shift and during extended work hours.
Incumbent will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions such as rain, wind, cold, and hot climates.
The employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including secondhand smoke.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
