Recruiting Representative

The Recruiting Representative is an integral team member responsible for the recruitment support efforts of San Manuel's high-volume talent acquisition endeavors. The Recruiting Representative will be able to effectively demonstrate teamwork, creativity as well as efficiency in a fast-paced and innovative environment. Reporting to San Manuel's Recruiting Manager and under the daily direction of the high-volume Recruiters, the Recruiting Representative will serve as the candidate's primary point of contact during the early recruitment stages particularly in sourcing and screening activities. Additionally, the Recruiting Representative will be the face of the high-volume recruiting team at community partnership events and will serve as the key liaison between the high-volume recruiting and community partnerships functions within the Human Resources department. This position will be expected to perform the duties and responsibilities with minimal supervision and instruction, and a high degree of customer service.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Supports the successful execution of the candidate experience in the sourcing and screening portions of the candidate lifecycle.
Responsible for the movement of the high-volume candidate pipeline in the applicant tracking system. Actively participates in sourcing, recruiting, monitoring and assisting candidates through the applicant process.
Responsible for the accurate and timely transition of qualified candidates to the high-volume Recruiters.
Identifies opportunities for improvement within the sourcing, screening and hand-off processes of the candidate lifecycle.
Represents SMBMI at community partnership events focusing on positions identified as high-volume.
Supports the execution of recruitment/ hiring events on behalf of the high-volume Recruiters.
Works with Recruiting Partnerships team as well as high-volume Recruiters to ensure that recruiting practices are consistent with organizational guidelines, applicable employment practices and meet the objectives of the Human Resources department.
Serves as a point of contact for candidates at community partnership events, including those at Universities, Colleges, Culinary institutions, community job fairs, Veteran hiring events on behalf of the high-volume recruiting team.
Escalates time sensitive and/or high impact inquiries.
Assist candidates with troubleshooting minor technology or system issues specific to the application.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Answers inbound calls from both internal and external customers and assists with the application process, job posting questions.

Seeks to drive results and beneficial outcomes for the HR functional area teams and the customer at all times.
Demonstrates proper management of highly sensitive and confidential information.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum of (3) years of direct and progressive work experience in full-cycle recruiting required, with a minimum of (1) years of in-house corporate recruiting or campus recruiting experience, recruiting for a broad range of positions is required;
Bachelor's degree in Business Administrations, Human Resources or related field is highly preferred;
Equivalent combination of education and progressive, relevant and direct experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirement;
Experienced with Recruitment and HR software programs (i.e., ATS like JobVite, Hodes, Workday, etc).
Highly organized individual with wonderful interpersonal skills are essential;
Adept at event planning and coordination;
Excellent relationship management skills;
Demonstrated success in driving process improvement and effective partnering to lead critical business change;
Utilizes critical and conceptual thinking with effective results in fast paced and complex situations;
Analytical, data driven/process approaches desired;
Demonstrated innovation and recruitment thought leadership;
Strong business acumen, consulting and influencing skills;
The ability to carry out world-class standards with recruitment processes and tools;
At least One (1) year in the Gaming, Hospitality, Retail or Services industry.
At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
AIRS, PHR, SPHR certification preferred.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
