This full-time position is for a Controller who will work in the San Bernardino, California region. This position is for candidates who can plan and direct all accounting operational functions, handle the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluate accounting and internal control systems, and lead departmental staff. This position is for candidates who can effectively manage self and others within strict time constraints when providing client services, lead while also being a team player, generate innovative ideas, and challenge the status quo. What you get to do every single day - Assess, execute and improve policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies - Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure that firm-wide operation is efficient and effective - Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities - Present executive committee and partners with monthly financial reports - Manage daily cash and prepare cash-flow reports, projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals - Handle monthly and yearly close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations G/L analysis - Check deliverables of self and team to certify they meet client expectations - Oversee the activities of the finance department, such as accounts payable, billings collections, and payroll - Ensure timely cash collection by driving the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques - Manage the production of the yearly budget and forecasts and monitor them monthly - Advance Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed, with research, planning and implementation

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
