Senior Messaging & Collaboration Engineer

The Information Technology (IT) department for the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians (the Tribe) is looking for a Senior Messaging and Collaboration Engineer located in Scottsdale, AZ. or San Bernardino, CA. location. The San Manuel Band of Mission Indians IT organization provides and supports leading-edge technology platforms in support of ever-changing technological advances in the Gaming industry and the Tribe's business enterprises. The ability to effectively prioritize and execute projects in fast a paced environment is key to the success of the IT staff to meet the demands of this technically proficient department.
We are looking for a Senior Messaging & Collaboration engineer responsible for designing, implementing and optimizing a highly available messaging and collaboration environment across functional and geographic boundaries.
The ideal candidate will have a keen sense for industry trends and emerging technologies with strong operation experience who can improve employee productivity and satisfaction.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Implement broad set of messaging & collaboration technologies including Outlook and Exchange, Outlook online, distribution list management, email security, and email routing technologies.
Perform design functions in directory services & GPO, AD domain, remote access, operating systems, virtual compute, device management, mobility, productivity applications, workstation build, package and delivery, browser control, advanced administrative scripting.
Develop documentation, enforcement of standards, security procedures, and controls to ensure integrity of Windows systems, AD, IPAM and related systems
Configuration and document software installation and upgrades, technical support and troubleshooting, hardware builds and standards definition, new feature implementation, and system performance measurement and tuning.
Design and configure server virtualization and capacity planning
Work in all aspects of application and workstation management including software packaging
Create and develop design, operate and as-built documentation.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience/Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline required.
10+ years of experience with Windows systems administration, including server builds, applying security best practices, and the planning and large-scale deployment of hardware and applications required.
7+ years of Microsoft Exchange experience in a clustered enterprise environment with mobile support experience required.
2+ years of Microsoft O365 or Outlook online experience and deep understanding of PowerShell required.
Strong understanding DNS, DHCP, Wins, DFS and emerging technologies around encryption are essential.
Proficiency with troubleshooting mail-flow problems that flow through load balancers such as BigIP F5, Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco networking equipment.
Experience with C++, Java, JavaScript Microsoft .NET C#
Experience with Antivirus and Anti-spam solution experience such as Proofpoint.
Ability to establish and follow policies and change procedures for infrastructure administration, and follow best practices for enterprise monitoring, troubleshooting and maintenance.
Proactively identify potential production issue and recommend and implement solutions.
Available as tier 3 support and resolution.
Proven leadership qualities and strong procedural and architectural documentation skills
Flexible, adaptable, and able to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
Critical thinker is required, ability to research and collaborate effectively
Strong documentation and communication skills.
Certificates/Licenses/Registrations
At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
Microsoft and VMware certifications are highly desirable.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
