Assistant Director, Casino Executive Communications

Under the direction of, and reporting to, the Director, Casino Executive Communications, the Assistant Director of Casino Executive Communications is responsible for managing and coordinating complex communication projects and activities that require a high degree of specialized knowledge of San Manuel's Casino and Tribal operations. This position will develop, plan and execute a wide range of communication strategies coming from the Office of the General Manager. This role will orchestrate the multi-faceted communications which may include conducting and/or collecting research, providing data, making recommendations, and implementing solutions to achieve the Office of the General Manager's communication project goals and objectives.
Working in a creative and fast-paced environment, the Assistant Director will be responsible for leading, managing and moderating the C-suite's communication channels. The Assistant Director will handle aspects from concept to creation and launch of the C-suite's communications including proactive and reactive communication relations, conferences, community relations, discussion forums, all-hands meetings, executive presentations, board communications, etc.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Manage the tactical execution of short and long-term Executive Communication objectives through the coordination of projects, presentations and organizational outreach.
Manage media, Corporate and virtual communications support to C-level casino management within the organization.
Lead the implementation of the Chief Marketing officer's internal communication strategy in conjunction with SMC leadership and program teams including an execution plan, key messages and measures of success which supports the cultural and projects, goals and objectives.
Create audience-specific (external & internal) content that demonstrates a deep understanding of messaging, positioning and stakeholder needs.
Write, edit and proof written content for digital and traditional communication channels.
Develop & manage strategic communications for senior executive remarks, presentations and other media.
Project leader across multiple initiatives, balancing resources and time to meet iterative requirements and changing priorities.
Make strategic decisions, draft presentation decks, lead new business presentations.
Manage executive team to co-develop strategic proposals and campaigns and communications.
Research and write customized proposals, meeting documents, oral presentations and other pursuit documents, generally working as a project manager for communication projects.
Prioritize assignments and coordinate the flow of information from various contributors to meet deadlines.
Manage multiple projects concurrently.
Perform other related duties as necessary.
Bachelor's Degree in business administration, marketing, communications or similar field required.
Minimum of eight (8) years' experience with strategic communications, business development and project management required. Brand, PR or advertising agency experience preferred. Ten+ (10+) years preferred.
Equivalent combination of education and progressive, relevant and direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational/experience requirements indicated above.
Experience with developing content and messaging.
Experience with presentations, Keynote, PowerPoint and marketing design is required.
Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
Experience in dealing with executive, or similar, level staff.
Demonstrated experience across a wide range of traditional and emerging channels.
A strategist who can anticipate and support the needs of internal audiences (Board-level, enterprise leaders) and external stakeholders (key vendors and partners, regulators and the public).
A strong written and verbal communicator adept at working with a range of consumer, business and governmental audiences of varying education levels internally and externally.
A flexible, nimble, self-directed and collaborative self-starter who can quickly shuffle priorities to meet the demands of the job and be comfortable in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment.

At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desired.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
